Q: How does Smart Silence work?
Smart Silence detects when you enter specific locations — like synagogues, theaters, or offices — and helps you quickly activate Do Not Disturb. You can add Silent Places manually or use community-submitted ones.
Q: Why isn’t Do Not Disturb activating automatically?
Due to iOS restrictions, Smart Silence can’t enable Do Not Disturb without user interaction. Instead, we send a helpful notification with one-tap access to activate it via a Shortcut.
Q: What’s a Focus Point?
A Focus Point is earned when you stay in a Silent Place with your phone still and screen off for at least 2 minutes. We track your Focus Score using motion data.
Q: How do I delete my account and data?
Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account in the app. This permanently deletes your account and associated session history from our servers.
Q: Can I use Smart Silence on multiple devices?
Yes. Just sign in using the same Apple, Google, or phone number account and your session stats will sync automatically (if enabled).
⚙️ Troubleshooting Tips
- Make sure Location Services and Motion & Fitness access are granted in iOS Settings.
- Check that Notifications are enabled so you receive entry/exit prompts.
- If you’re not earning Focus Points, try placing your phone down and screen-off in a stationary position during Silent Sessions.
- App not detecting entries/exits? Try using the Reset App button in the app’s Settings under Troubleshooting. It clears all Silent Places, schedules, and session history — useful for fixing detection issues.
